Has anyone been watching the World Chess Championship. Of all the championship matches I've seen, this one has been interesting. It's currently Nepo: 4.5 - Ding: 3.5. Game 9 is currently on and it appeared to be a draw, but after move 53 each opponent is fighting for the win. 3 pawns and a Knight each. What an endgame !!
Todays game # 12 could be the turning point in this match. A big setback for Nepo. To have the win in your hand, then struggle to try for a draw then suffer two bad moves to lose. This match is somewhat similar to the 2006 match !!
Congratulations to Ding Liren on winning the world championship. Despite the match being tied after 14 games, the match went to a "25" minute tiebreaker. After 3 draws on the first 3 games, Ding wins game # 4. It was an interesting championship !!
