At ChessConquest we see the game of chess as a game between gentlemen and ladies, and expect polite and respectful interactions between our members.

It has come to our attention that some members are using foul and inappropriate language during their interactions with their opponents.

We would like to point out that we do reserve the right to permanently ban members from the site, should they lack the integrity to conduct themselves in a respectful manner towards other members.

We trust that we can continue to build the ChessConquest community, and create an atmosphere that is enjoyable for all our members.

Should you find any member's actions inappropriate, please raise the issue with us so that we may investigate and take action where needed.

Is it some kind of psychological stratagem? Maybe they want to upset their opponents so that the game will end sooner. I found it upsetting and unsettling.

I will ask a direct question to ketchuplover,,, what is your complaint against me,,, when and with what have I offended you,,,,,, what bad have you seen from me and you are trying to involve me in a scandal between other players, ,,,please IOTA pay special attention to the intriguers here who are irritants and founders of a new scandal...I have many friends here, created by this game, and if you are unhappy, just don't play with me,, my opinion for you now it has dropped below zero,,,,,.

the fact that I am in the group of weaker players does not give you the right to qualify me as a bad person,,,,,

YVANE you have NOT offended me....apparently you offended another player who told me that....
I have stopped playing tourneys to hopefully avoid those I want to avoid

you better speak only for yourself, don't interfere with other people to make the intrigue even bigger. you don't rate a person you don't know just because your neighbor said something,,, tomorrow someone will trust me too for you,,,, am I obliged to trust everyone for everything,,,,,

Sorry for only getting back now regarding the conflict experienced between some players.

Being a free website, we unfortunately don’t have the time and resource to investigate each individual incident, and manage appropriate actions.

We will schedule some time to build in a mute button, as per Ketchuplover’s suggestion, to give players the ability to distance themselves from abusive players.

Chess being a gentlemen’s game, we do please ask players to respect each other. This is supposed to be fun.

We have now implemented a mute button.

If you feel an opponent is being unreasonable or offensive, you can mute communication with them by clicking the mute button located next to the message button.

This will mute all communication with that player across all games. You also have the option to unmute the player again (if you wish to do so) by just clicking the same button again.

Please let me know if there are any questions.

Thx a mute button should be a good direction in case some one is feeling disturbed.
